Who I Am
Thanks for stopping by! My name is Tara Green, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience in the mental health field in both North Carolina and New Jersey. New to the Charlotte, NC area, I am happy to be offering my services in both the Queen City and surrounding areas as well as continuing to serve New Jersey via tele-health services!
Before relocating to North Carolina, I spent many years providing mental health services to families and children in the New Jersey School system. Alongside my work in the school system, I had a small private psychotherapy practice where I worked with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, family relationships, parenting, relationship stressors and many other life challenges. I look forward to continuing this work!
Who You Are
You want to live your best life, but are just not sure how to get there. You’re feeling lonely, overwhelmed, anxious, or depressed. You may be struggling as a working mom or single parent. You may be juggling children, work, and your dating life. You could even be facing challenges adjusting to your new blended family or a relocation.
Do any of these sound like you? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Transitional periods can cause feelings of intense loneliness, anxiety, depression, and impact our self-esteem and self-worth, but you don’t have to go through these transitions alone.
I believe that the mind, body, and soul connection is vital to our overall wellness. I believe that the relationship between you and your therapist plays an integral role in achieving your goals in therapy. Most importantly, I believe that most people want to feel better about themselves, develop quality relationships, and engage in meaningful experiences without being in their own way – I can help you get there.
My Mission
My approach to therapy: All good therapy is built on a trusting and connected relationship between me and the person sitting in front of me. I take a gentle, yet direct approach – meeting my clients where they are emotionally, while also providing honest observations during our time together.
